Large furniture deliveries go wrong in predictable ways, and most of them are prevented by half an hour of preparation.<\/p>\n
Before It Arrives<\/h2>\n
Clear the route completely: hall, stairs, doorways and the room itself.<\/p>\n
Measure it one more time. The route in matters more than the space it will occupy, and a piece that will not clear a turn on a staircase is the single most common delivery failure.<\/p>\n
Decide where it goes before it comes through the door, because shuffling a large item around a room damages floors and walls.<\/p>\n
